Our Community

Surrounded by the sweeping landscapes of the Blue Mountains, Pendleton, Oregon is a place filled with rich history preserved by the Confederate Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation.

Yellowhawk is nestled in the homeland of the Cayuse, Umatilla, and Walla Walla peoples who are now joined as one nation– the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation.  CTUIR is the host nation for the Pendleton Round–Up which celebrated its 100th year in 2010.

The local community thrives with excellent schools, abundant wheat fields and business development. The CTUIR is the largest employer in Umatilla County, providing a great opportunity to those who work there. The CTUIR’s Coyote Business Park is the home of Cayuse Technologies which provides services for two separate Fortune 500 companies.
